The importance of the first meme you've posted can't be understated. Might be a chuckle but it's also the literaly root problem of the neurosis gripping the West. We have generations of people coming up who believe that question is being asked for the first time in our history. It should be extremely worrying!

I'm an independent no-voter, never thought I'd be baptized into the ways of memetic warfare and a functionally right-wing poster, lol. I was already annoyed with many of the 2020 narratives, which was followed by a bunch of shit I haven't been feeling over the last year: an erosion of civil liberties, vaccine mandates, insane spending proposals, a porous border, stupid ass energy policy, outrageous afghan withdrawal, government gun grabbing grandeur (Fuck That)...then the KR-15 trial happened and I pretty much flipped. It was a debacle that will never be forgiven and a performance from the mass psychosis crew that will never be forgotten, creeped me the fuck out.

Yeah, you're a little out in front of me. I think it died as the base mainstream culture after the '80s but certain states and regions held on pretty firm throughout the next decade-plus. My whole childhood feels like it was spent outdoors where leisure activities were camping, fishing, hunting, shooting guns, playing sports, going to sprint car races, having huge cookouts with the extended fam, watching action and horror movies with my cousins down in the basement (and then church Sunday morning, lol). Even after we moved to AZ when I was teenager, I'd be helping my dad with projects on our house or going with him to do bricklaying and carpentry side jobs on the weekend.
