I’m a mod on a big racing site and we have a private moderators lounge that has a sticky where we list everyone we ban and why.
It’s not talked about publicly unless someone asks though.
Didn't you always have a post, or set of posts that were tagged for reference as the reason? We had a queue and a scoring system that auto-banned for periods of time, but a perma ban required a Council Member to suspend an account. It also required a discussion among the 3 council members. It had to be unanimous.
I can't imagine giving a general reason for a perma ban as has been eluded to here. That would be too subjective.
Violence/Genocide: Do not condone violence or genocide on a person or group of people. You are free to attack a person or groups ideas but you are crossing the line when calling for violence. This will be heavily enforced in threads with breaking news involving victims.
