Meh, I personally don't buy it. Believe what you want to believe . I've never met anyone that didn't understand that the bible was a mostly fictitious account.
So whats your opinion of your mother? You should meet my mother, then. I asked her why she believed when I was like 21. She said because of the accurate predictions. I asked her as to what predictions. She replied with Jesus dying and the veil of the firmament tearing. I told her that the veil of the firmament does not exist, because the firmament is a dome that holds the stars above our bowl of an earth. She remained unconvinced. And this is the type of intellectual murder that can be brought forth in America by a woman with 2 college degrees.
So whats your opinion of your mother?
Sorry to hear that. I know people of faith by the dozens, maybe even 100's over the course of my 40 years. I never met any extremists like that.An aspiring dolt?

Sure do. I live in Maine. Grew up in a town of a couple of hundred people and there were at least a dozen churches within a few miles radius.Do you live in America? I'm in America, and in WA, which is not a huge Bible Belt state. I have relatives from Georgia and Florida, and they were even more religious and literal minded than my mother.
