Well.. the sort of invented algebra..

Also coffee, guitars, and hospitals.

Can you imagine what America would be like without coffee and guitars?

Islam, meaning the political extremist Muslims seeking to making the world submit to Allah.

Not Middle-Eastern people.

Stringed instruments (which I take it you are referring to an oud, are simply another point in the family’s evolution) are 2000+ years older than Islam.

But I’ll concede Turkish coffee is the shit. My wife just brought me back some from Egypt and it’s awesome.

The Arabic lute is like the neanderthal of guitars tho.

They didn't invent string instruments sure, but they did create and then introduce the Oud to Europe.

Any the lyre is the regarded gay fish frog, who fucked a monkey and that made the oud.

Know your history brah.

So what you're saying is Middle Eastern people weren't influenced by Islam...

Interesting.

Read my post again. I said "Islam, meaning the political extremist Muslims seeking to making the world submit to Allah.

Not Middle-Eastern people."

How you comprehended this to mean "So what you're saying is Middle Eastern people weren't influenced by Islam," displays your lack of reading comprehention.

But, for the sake of argument, lets go with it.

Oh, my all means, point out where in the Quran where it says to invent algebra, coffee, and string instruments.

And since when are inventors a direct reflection of their faith?

In that case, shall we start comparing all major inventions of the last 2000 years and split them between Christian, Jewish, and Muslim?

So... Muslims have coffee, algebra, and libraries - stringed instruments are very debatable if they can take credit for it.

Everything else... the printing press, the alphabet, all scientific research, fossil fuel engine, space travel, electricity, democracy, the internet, all electronic advancement, every literary masterpiece, every top 1000 albums, and everything else you can name split between Christian and Jewish faiths.

And, where in the Old and New Testiments does it say to invent all if that? And if it doesn't, perhaps faith and inventions have nothing to do with eachother.

Perhaps another way the meme can be interpreted is the values and principles promoted upon the populations that adopted Islam. Good luck arguing Islam has been a net benefit toward the freedom and prosperity of those communities.

In the words of the very poor @sniper

"Imagine being scared of someone you have never even met."
