What part of Ireland were your people from?

Mostly county Cork, but some on my grandfather's side were from the north, but all that is going back to the late 1700's early 1800's.

It would be concerning for many if he said "get over it" as if the shooting wasn't a big deal.

It's a good thing that it was more of a "we have to move forward" sentiment to the larger community while he also reassured the people most affected by the shooting "we're with you all the way, we love you and cherish you."

That doesn't sound like the "oh, it wasn't a big deal, get over it" that many people are framing it as.
