There’s a guy called the monk in Ireland who was allegedly a bank robber. Two of his biggest hits were worth 3m and 1.7m respectively. They didn’t have enough to convict him of actually doing them but whatever they had was apparently enough to get him to pay the tax on what he allegedly stole. He ended up paying 1.2m (they added interest) in tax.
