There is the idea than men see images like that as aspirational and motivating whereas women see them as threatening
I don't know how true it is but that trend does lend some weight to it

Many of the posters that defend Joe Biden remind me of Joe Biden defending Joe Biden.

I don't know if I'm crazy, but Biden claiming that it only "went up an inch" sounds an aweful lot like he's saying 8+% is the new norm?
