It's not that they think the military would, it's that they think the military should. They honestly believe that the south and all those "flyover" states don't contribute in any meaningful way to them or their way of life and clearing "those people" off the map would improve the world. Dangerous.

Everyone outside of California is dependent on the Heartland flyover states and given the extreme level of incompetence that its Democratic supermajority has displayed over the last decade, it wouldn't surprise me if CV agriculture went the way of CA's energy industry (@lifelessheap). The coastal liberals have always felt that way, but it's an entirely different thing when the DNC platform itself becomes hostile to the primary (+ secondary) sector along with the mostly rural and working class white people who make their living in it.

Arizona and Georgia were anomalies in 2020 while DeSantis and @cottagecheesefan have turned Florida red to the point where it isn't up for grabs at all but PA is and always has been a problem state. The Dems have taken it in every election over the last three decades with the sole exception of 2016 (@superking). The Deep South is considered the most conservative on account of its social politics and religiosity but it's actually by a much thinner margin than Heartland "flyover states" and that's mostly because it has considerably more 'diverse' demographics.

Boo Disney & MCU cape shit (I'm stealing that @A Very Serious Cat). No offense to @KnightTemplar who likes those films, TGM is quite easily the greatest flick in the top 10 (which ain't saying much tbh) but it is absolutely incredible that it has had such insane success. A nice 60th birthday present to the Greatest (And Last) Movie Star of All-Time.
