That's not why he got in the game though. Cancer treatment would've been handled by his insurance as a public school employee. And remember he also turned down the 6 figure job with his old partner and ex when they found out he was sick.once he found out he had cancer he should have just packed up his bags and moved to canada or somewhere else with free health care and the series would have ended happilly ever after within just a few episodes!
