The problem is that Halloween almost isn't even a horror franchise anymore and that's because Michael Myers is way too fucking cool, everybody loves him and roots for him to murder people in brutally creative ways. I was legit sad when he was getting beaten, stabbed and shot in the street by the mob in Halloween Kills.

Fans have been cheering for Michael and Jason for a while. I really liked the last Halloween because I felt the writer and the director understood that.
