It doesn't get more balls-to-the wall extreme. To kill and mass murder with such psychotic ferocity on such an absurd level in such a short period of time is downright demonic. They stacked 10 million soviet soldiers in direct combat, murdered at least another 9 million civilians and prisoners of war, genocided 6 million Jews, wiped out damn near 2 million ethnic Poles all in the span of a half dozen years and that doesn't even take into account the western front.

Mackensen Was pretty brilliant. Tannenberg and his Serbian campaign were awesome. His crossing the Danube into Romania was a master stroke imho.

hardcore is still mostly the same (though I’m not a fan of big empty shadow boxing pits) but some punk bands have lost their soul! Can’t remember who it was I saw before the pestilence but they stopped the gig not because a fight had broken out but to tell the crowd to stop stage diving! Hate to sound like a “it’s not like it was in my day” old man but you damn sure had a good chance of having to fight some nazis when I started going to gigs. I’ve been told by a women drinking a glass of wine “you’re not at a hooligan convention, calm down” for trying to start a pit!! Anyway sorry for ranting in the meme thread
