I can remember walking down to the creek near our home as a child and watching the salmon run with my dad every year. There were so many fish it wasn't possible to see the bottom - absolutely packed. These years the salmon run is hardly anything at all and every year the number of fish gets smaller and smaller.

I feel melancholy thinking about it. The memes are much better.
