It doesn't mean the space flight emits more than one billion combined. It means that there are around 1 billion people on Earth that individually emit less than a flight in their entire lives. These are probably rural people in Africa and Asia. The average westerner(or Chinese, Japanese etc) emits a whole lot more.

It's a pretty extraordinary rifle and a Big Fucking Gun, almost to the point of being too big and impractical in its OG configuration for just about any situation that doesn't involve being a soldier in a full fledged military conflict (which is the purpose of it tbf). They are a different class of firearms, but you may as well get a .50 BMG M82 with a barrel this long IMO.

Yeah but the US dropped the FN FAL so you could get the...M14, lol.
These very long rifles suck. Forget everything I said about it, try to walk around and do soldier stuff while holding the FAL. I've hit the ground or walls countless time with the muzzle. You also get tired on guard duty.
I also prefer the straight recoil of the AR. I don't know if it has a name but the stock of the AR is in line with the barrel, while these classical rifles the stock is lower and the rifle tends to go up when shooting. Which I guess is better for your shoulder when dealing with heavier rounds but it's harder to control.
