What fucking "horror fans"?

It's an honor to be murdered by Michael Myers, he's an equal opportunity slasher. If people want more on-screen "representation" in then that's what happens: either love it or gtfo. The flick had a lot of atrocious dialogue but the whispering "we don't want to get sued" line had me almost cackling and is perfectly representative of a contemporary yuppie gay couple. If nothing else, HK is easily the coolest he's ever looked.
...the kills and practical gore fx weren't bad either.
They want extra rights. Exalted status.
This came up in a thread last week but homos already have exalted status in horror even if people are largely unaware of it. F.W. Murnau (Nosferatu, 1922) and James Whale (Frankenstein, 1931) practically launched the genre into popular culture; Anthony Perkins was the star of the first proto-slasher (Psycho, 1960); Clive Barker created Hellraiser and the Cenobites (+ Candyman for that matter), Don Mancini is responsible for Child's Play and Chucky, Kevin Williamson is the screenwriter behind the Scream franchise, Ghostface and Sidney Prescott, etc, etc...the creative representation is disproportionate.
