My car insurance in California vs Idaho.

Found out California has a law requiring insurance companies to not "discriminate" which forces them to equalize insurance premiums for everyone. So "good driver" discounts and discounts for being a long-standing customer with a good record are forbidden. Thus, insurance premiums for good drivers cost at least twice as much as other states that have sane laws.
