Wonder if the Texas turbines were designed with Antarctic temperatures, snow and ice in mind...cause ya know Texas is all about that freezing weather.

They have recommendations to after the blackouts from winter weather in 2011 did the same thing to Texas. but it’s not a requirement like it is here in upper Midwest for our wind farms. They let companies just decide (so of course they go cheap, there’s different metal types and a 20 year de-icing costing as well as insulation for the generator in the turbine) rather than regulating. So here we are.
