True story. The marines in Helmand province, and especially Sangin Valley in Helmand province, fucking despised cornfields. Once about half fully grown, the cornfields give great concealment and scouting drones Can’t see through. Not even infrared heat sensors.

same as heavily trees areas, but not much of those in the area.

marines knew the US military wouldnt allow destruction of the corn fields.

michael yon was there, and almost got shot to shit many times, with a royal marine detachment and then later with the US marines after the UK withdrew due to such heavy casualties.

Lol well it’s not gonna stop bullets, but it’ll tear your skin up. You gotta wear a bandana to cover your face, gloves that come up to your forearms, and ling sleeve shirts. Important to wear tape on your ears as well. Those green leaves are like razor blades

Think people don’t understand that at all. A lot of grasses will tear you up. Also corn grows fairly quickly and if you can’t use infrared there’s only one way to see if there is the enemy in it
