That makes no difference in what I said. A socialist economic system will always result in less resources and less production, but the "elites" will make certain they maintain the top share of the economy while the rest of society is getting rationed resources and has much less disposable income.

The same is happening with capitalism here, unfortunately. The only way it doesn't is if there is a hint of nationalism and at least some level of moral compass injected into the system. Capitalism 1950-1990 is the best system we have ever created. Don't pretend the problems of centralized corporate power and influence over the government (working towards what is essentially a one-party quasi-communist state) can't cause problems that require programs to better the lives of people that want to work and make a living doing it.
