You do realize Donald Trump is also in favor of the European standard of 15 weeks?
I get that bud.
Boris Johnson did this same thing with Brexit, going from a pro-Euro guy to Eurosceptic overnight. He smelled the money and potential for power by doing a complete 180 and associating himself with Brexit. It worked. Brexit happened, many associated Johnson with that 'success', then he became PM.
Except you can't just be a weak fly-by-night leader of a major nation. Boris got exposed as not really having any concrete policies or ideas, his Brexit was a complete sham, and he was booted. It wasn't a success at all, just a Pyrrhic victory.
In a sense, hasn't Trump been exposed on this issue in the same manner? He doesn't believe in the pro-life movement, but he's forced it through by making certain appointments, and he's struggled with
large groups of people ever since.
Trump should have never gone for it. If you don't believe in it, back yourself. Don't flip-flop. Don't pander. Lead, and if you don't think something is broken, don't fuck it up trying to fix it.
