I was extremely pleased by the fight result. I've always liked Tate and now I have so much more respect for her. She just won the belt and fulfilled a life long dream, what does she do? She takes her knees center octagon and waits for Holm to acknowledge being ok before she really even celebrates. I love to see this kind of respect and Tate showed me a new level of her character. Sad to say I don't see her defending this belt, so Dana please make your contenders fight to prove who gets the title shot. Let us get Rousey/Holm 2 for number one contender. Let Meisha enjoy her fifteen minutes, after the heart and character she displayed she deserves it.

I tend yo agree and it makes me a bit sad. Most camps push for a comeback fight if their fighter gets badly hurt physically I see Rhonda's mental breakdown the same way. Make her prove she is back and hungry give her a shit at revenge all in one go. Wishful thinking I know, Rhonda is a main event cash cow and at the end of the day its all about $$$

Some of it is just being smart with how you answer questions. But what Tate has done in the cage and the heart she always shows as a fighter deserves a lot of respect.

And she got a raw deal when the promised title shot was withdrawn. And it looked like the UFC was willing to put her indefinitely on the back-burner if Ronda had beaten Holly. So I'm pretty happy for Tate that she got her shot and that she made the most of it.

No matter what happens next she has had a great career and nobody can take the fact that she was champ from her. It's nice to see the fighting overcome the politics. Hat tip to Meisha for staying mentally strong.

Yeah, that's the only thing stopping this fight from being booked instantly basically. If Ronda wasn't a head case she'd be pulling an Aldo right now and be instantly barking for a rematch. But she just seems so checked out of the sport already. That head kick was ego shattering. Maybe i'm wrong, and she's quietly piecing it back together. But given her lack of being quiet on her inner drama and attention seeking on the Ellen Degenerate show I don't think that she's the quietly build myself back up type.
