I know how I feel about it. I dont agree with many that it "exposed" Megan at all she is not known for her ground game as she was off 18 months to. When she was standing with Holly she was not holding back hitting Holly with big shots. Holly didnt want any part of the standing with Megan and it was addressed directly by Holly how her length was very tough to deal with.

With Cyborg I dont think it goes to the ground. Many wont ever get off the "Cyborg cant ever lose" train before that same Ronda train derailed so I get some dont feel upsets can happen still even when they happen all the time.

Megan is long with those strikes. 145 pounds naturally, Holly isnt and Cyborg went the distance with Holly on the feet. We know now Megan has not much of a ground game but that means nothing in a fight where it will stay standing (MOST LIKELY) against Cyborg.

If it stayed standing how does Megan match up in a fire fight with Cyborg who is a brawler and prefers to get in close, Megan is younger and her length is insane for any striker.

Whats your opinion?

Cyborg wins standing too. Thing is why not wrestle her down and make it even easier.

Megan is a bust.. just a bigger, younger fighter.. that's it. (sad shit is that this is enough to stay around the top in WMMA)

Eh, Cyborg has always been the type to take fights to the floor even when she had an enormous advantage striking. I think it is pretty clear, with Anderson's horrible ground game, that Cyborg would maul her on the ground.

Megan has potential but needs a better gym where she can develop her strengths and weaknesses. James Krause isn't that place. Sadly she'll likely waste most her career there.

Cyborg can lose but Megan isn't good enough. Nunes, Vieira, Cat if she could somehow get back her mojo, or Budd could potentially beat Cyborg... and Tate if she was still active!

Megan has, like every other candidate, fallen to the derailment curse of The Next Anderson.

Cyborg would fuck her up on the ground, in the clinch, and standing.

i think she would lose striking also. the thing that changed Holly was that initial knee she ate right in the beginning shook her up a bit. but when she started to settle again, she began outstriking Megan on the feet too.

Holly had almost zero success vs Cyborg. the big problem with Megan and most WMMA is their striking defense sucks. she couldn't even see most of the strikes coming that Holly hit her with on the feet because she had zero reaction to most of it. just relying on her chin and size to absorb the power. that kind of defense won't work against someone like Cyborg.

its not that impressive she was tagging hold on the feet especially with a 4" reach advantage.

Look at Dern throwing those wild overhands that actually wobbled Cooper when they fought, Dern was landing more in the stand up even though Cooper had the better stand up credentials.

If your in to win the fight you don't keep fighting at someones strengths, holly using a ground game means she's using other aspects of mma.

If cyborg can get inside she can land some good power shots, however if she gets stunned she can take it to the ground and try and win by gnp or submission...this is where Anderson has to work on.

Her only chance of winning is by landing something big and hope to get a finish there after, without a ground game she's vulnerable to losing to almost anyone unless she gets the finish in the stand up.

You guys are acting like a 28 year old cant improve. She lost to Holly Holm, no shame in that.

The Holly haters act like she's some kind of bum, but she took Justino the distance, beat Randamie had the ref done his fucking his job right and was winning against Tate before the hail Mary choke.

Megan has potential, and if she switched camps, we could see her be something.

I don't think it is wise for her to develop her weaknesses...

Cyborg would be too much for Megan at this point I fear. Megan has talent but needs more time to develop, particularly on the ground.

Holly took a little damage then proceeded to impose her will on Megan. Mind you, Holly was also able to control Cyborg against he cage (just didn't do any damage).

I'm looking forward to all three of their nest fights.

I think Megan would give Cyborg some trouble early on landing some big shots. But eventually Cyborg would maul her on the ground because Megan doesn't seem very good there and Cyborg is just really strong and her cardio has gotten better.

Megan has potential. That was a big knee she landed on Holly on the first minute of their fight. Holly adjusted and took the fight to calmer waters which is what an experienced fighter should do.

Megan has been put on wobbly legs in something like 4 out of 6 of her last fights, and the only reason she wasn't doing the fish dance against Holly is because Holm has no pop on her punches. She hit Megan clean in the head a bunch of times but she just had no power. Cyborg on the other hand does hit with power and she has the timing & accuracy these days to consistently land good head shots. Megan will be doing the Bambi legs and get taken out on the feet by Cyborg.

I think she is still green and won't look that impressive fighting the top girls, I still think her ground game got exposed bad by Holly and I think Cyborg easily beats her on the feet.

Megan might need a new training camp, I also think she is too big for his own good, she might have power but will look slow most of the time

Here is the problem, TS. While I agree that Megan's stand up was really sharp and she was looking very dangerous....when you get taken down at will and grapple fucked by Holm who is the female version of Wonderboy who in all of her previous fights attempted something like 3 takedowns total....you've got a serious problem. It exposes a MAJOR hole in her game. Cyborg doesn't use the ground often but if she needed to...the blueprint is there and she has the physicality and well rounded game to put Megan down and she wouldn't get up form the GNP of Cyborg.

I like Anderson but to see her helpless to the takedown game of HOLLY HOLM?! That was bad and you know this.

Her 1st order of business is to leave Gloryhole MMA. I would like to see her fight Cyborg because it's someone new who does have legit physical tools and some actual power in her strikes. I'm not too interested in Holm 2.

It's an intriguing fight. Her problem against Cyborg is that she would probably wilt under her heavy shots. Regardless, the matchmaking kinda screwed her up. She should have been given a lesser opponent and then they could have built the Cyborg fight if she won. The Holly fight never made sense to me.
