This is disturbing news to hear. Sri Lankans are not following the example of the Prophet (PBUH)

Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is not permissible for a woman or anyone else to change white hairs by dyeing them black, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Change this white hair, but avoid black.” Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh. As for changing it with any colour other than black, there is nothing wrong with that, or with using a mixture of henna and katam; there is nothing wrong with that if it comes out a colour that is not black, but is between black and red.

The Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) instructed that white hair should be changed, but he enjoined us to avoid black, and warned that those who dyed their beards black would not even smell the fragrance of Paradise. This indicates that dyeing the hair black is a major sin. The individual should fear Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, and avoid that which was forbidden by the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), so that he may be one of those who obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):

Before him Ibn Hajar al-Haytami expressed a similar view in his book az-Zawaajir ‘an Iqtiraaf al-Kabaa’ir (1/165), where he said:

Major sin no. 111: dyeing the beard and the like black for any purpose other than jihad.

Its permissible as a stratagem of war, in order to give the impression that the soldiers of the Muslim army are all in their prime youth. Its similar to the permissibly of silk in a warrior's armor [Hidayah p597], [Nawawi's Minhaj al Talibin p64].​

If one were to encounter a Muslim using black hair dye (or wearing silk for that matter), should we assume they are enemy combatants in the holy war?

People started pointing out to him that he was bald so he started making excuses on twitter for his breached vertex



But his scalp was utterly exposed in the Weidman fight once the pre-fight Toppik had been washed away

John Gooden has a completely breached vertex as well. Keep that in mind when you see him facing the camera with his seemingly fine hairline and well-fitting suit. He is hiding a barren wasteland right behind that polished face.

Started watching the expanse recently. If you have the slightest insecurity about your hairline it's a brutal watch. You see Thomas Jane emasculated every episode by having his deep norwood 3 fully exposed in a disgusting mohawk mullet while the god tier hairlines of his costars make a mockery of him.

The fact he denied being bald multiple times in public is truly sad. Got some real vicarious embarrassment from that, as it was obviously eating him alive.

I hope he's just in the trough right now and that he will soon emerge and start collecting scalps again (no pun intended). For those who need a refresher on the trough:

If we were to graph hair loss (x-axis) versus confidence (y-axis), we'd end up with a parabolic arc, or a reverse bell curve, if you will; the contemplation of suicide that inevitably follows one's hairline's passage of the Bolanos Line* is the arc's vertex (no pun intended), the trough of one's confidence. It is at this point where a fighter will be losing fight after fight. This scourge of hair loss robs a man of his confidence -- where in the past he saw himself as young, virile, and sexually desirable to women, now he realizes that in the eye's of society he has transitioned to the next phase of life, where he is seen as an avuncular figure. He's no longer sexy or exciting, though he may be viewed as a good provider or kind or "safe." Still, these are not sexy characteristics and that's hard for men to deal with. However, eventually, if he survives his attempt at gassing himself with a rubber hose attached to his car's exhaust pipe, then his confidence will rise once again from the follice-fueled ashes because he will have gone through the brutal hellfire that is hair loss. It is the ultimate crucible of man! And he will embrace that Norwaad 5 and start knocking people the fuck out.
