Re-watched 3 times and noticed a few key things, in my opinion:

1. McGregor was having a hard time with Nate's angles and range after he abandoned the leg kicks.

2. McGregor hits very hard, even for 170 (duh)

3. Nate's head movement and use of angles was phenomenal, he just seems to be hitting an amazing stride during and since the Johnson fight

4. Nate made Conor stop throwing leg and body kicks with his jab and footwork

5. Nate also seemed to be throwing a bit harder than usual, and actually appeared to be close to as fast as conor

6. McGregor was hurt with the 1-2 at 2.23 of the second round, and it all unraveled from there

7. Conor should keep his hands up sometimes, he didn't block any punches with his hands/arms and it screwed him in the end

8. Conor has fantastic head movement

9. Conor seemed to be head hunting and not even trying to counter as he usually does. I think he misjudged Nate's power and durability

10. Nate wasn't surprised, motherfuckers

Great technical fight, and can't help but wonder what's next for Nathan Diaz. Looking forward to both of their fights.

War Diaz, war McGregor.

1. Conor's power didn't translate well at a higher weight class
2. Conor's cardio looked horrid
3. Conor looked disheartened in between rounds
4. Conor became a panic wrestler when facing adversity
5. Diaz is durable (duh)
6. Conor doesn't recover well
7. Conor needs to work on his ground game and defensive boxing

I thought Conor was super comfortable the first round. I didn't see Diaz winning after the first tbh. McGregor's punches were VERY hard if that had been anybody other than Diaz I think his head would be flying into the audience.
But in the second round Diaz started getting comfortable.

Using Nate Diaz as a gauge of someone's power isn't wise.

Outside of the guy being an asshole, I think most of these are pretty good points. It seemed like Nate, or something, actually got a little bit inside of CONOR's head, for once. He was WAY overloading; and I'd bet that he missed more big left hands against Nate, than in all of his other UFC fights combined. And that zaps a lot of energy. Conor busted Nate up in the 1st round. But, by FAR AND AWAY the #1 reason he lost tonight, was that he intentionally ate WAY too many punches, trying to show Nate that he could take his punch. Even worse... once he was hurt, instead of adjusting and trying to be more elusive, he seemed to make and even MORE concerted effort to show Nate that he could eat his punches. It must be an Irish thing, because I used to do the EXACT same thing(with nearly identical results) w/my older brother when I was about 10 years old. NO ONE can go up TWO weight divisions, AND intentionally eat punches w/these FOUR ounce gloves.

Mcgregor was hitting nate the entire fight problem was that it didnt hurt nate.

Nate waited till mcgregor got gassed(Like I predicted btw) and started landed his jab left combo

The rest is history baby

Conor needs to learn how to jab. Also needs to stop enjoying his $ so much and focus on fighting. Time for that shit later. The Tom Ford suit doesn't feel so good when you lose.
