McGregor vs. Aldo, at featherweight. Prime vs. prime. In a trilogy, who gets 2-3 wins and thus wins the trilogy?

If you feel that McGregor wins too easily because of the stylistical matchup, then be free to mention any other featherweight in history who could get the best out of a trilogy with McGregor.

They already fought in their prime
McGregor slept him in turteen seconds
It will happen every single time. McGregor is a terrible matchup for Aldo.

Aldo won’t even show up to that fight 3 times, he’ll find a way to pull out each and every time.

Exactly what I was gonna say. Nuf' said

Conor got into Aldo's head. If he could block him out and fight smart instead of trying to rush into that left hand he would have a great shot.

Does it mean that you guys think McGregor is a better featherweight fighter than Aldo or does it mean that you think McGregor is merely a bad matchup, but would lose in a trilogy with another featherweight fighter?

Bad matchup for Jose. Southpaw pressure fighter with big reach advantage and superior boxing will always murk him

A trilogy with Max could go either way.

We already saw this and what happened when they fought at the result wouldnt be any different. Aldo cant stand with Conor, we saw what happened with Aldo twice vs Max.....guys with good range and power are a bad style match up for Aldo. Conor will win all three

McGregor wins every time by not being a midget wrestler.

It would not happen every time but i think Conor wins the majority.

Yea cause if there is anything we've learned in mma it is that rematchs ALWAYS play out exactly like the first fight...oh wait you're just stupid.

Cain vs JDS
GSP vs Serra
Hell Conor has an example of this against Nate

When Conor was going to rematch Nate were you saying the rematch would go exactly the same every time?

McGregor is a terrible matchup for Aldo. Aldo likes to engage with boxing and finish with the lowkick. This plays perfectly into McGregor's counterstriking boxing, and he is kept safe from leg punishment by virtue of his southpaw stance.

Aldo does have a better ground game than McGregor, but his wrestling is not so offensively powerful as to offset the slight size disadvantage he gives up.

Styles make fights
Cain didn’t fight like he always fights
He didn’t wrestle, kept standing and tried to kick box with JDS so he got KO’d
I think that would happen every single time if Cain fights like that against JDS
Aldo on the other hand is not a wrestler, he fought like he always fights, its just that Aldo made a career of beating small wrestlers who just learned how to strike. Strikers like Conor and Max would always beat him.
Conor Vs Nate 2 went just like the first one, its just that Conor anticipated Nate coming back so he didn’t panic like he did in their first fight and didn’t blow his load and ended up winning the 4th round and then the fight

McGregor has his number. He's simply too big and fancy for him. A prime Chad Mendes trilogy would be interesting though.

Conor's decision win against Nate was a very close fight , arguably Nate won.

Didn't you hear, Aldo was out of his prime for the Conor fight, then he went back in his prime @ UFC 200 versus Frankie and then out of it again versus Max both times? <Lmaoo> #ShercanLogic
