Picked up 700k+ likes on Facebook in the past week (+27%), the vast majority on March 6, the day after the loss. His post-fight instagram post has gone viral and caught the attention of several casual and non-MMA fans. He represents a lot more than wins or losses in the octagon, and his success and relevancy will continue regardless of the outcomes of his fights.

I mean it was a pretty entertaining fight. It's not like no one wants to see him fight again.

Nut huggers of a feather must flock together.

It's that weakened, gang mentality.

They're gazelles traveling in packs, not Lions.

People just want to see when he posts a pic wearing the red panties.

So, MMA fighter gets more followers after they have a huge huge fight, sounds normal... but oops there is a problem. He got his ass beat... and also got slapped and humiliated. So now his media presence is an all time high, like my girl Rousey... but the problem is, the aura is shattered

I'm not buying that assertion. Put him on a five fight loss streak and see how many fans are still around

UFC had so many great champions.
Yet a guy who would do anything to make more money is the man to be put in the spotlight.

And with zero tittle defenses.

That's sad.

Well, he's an exciting fighter. That in itself is hard to come by.

He should keep losing then. Go and lose 3-4 in a row and he'll be at Mayweather's level.

He got the Bieber bump. I bet 80% of those 700k were females between 13 and 21. The Biebs moves the needle.

lel. When he decides to win again this place is going to drive out the haters. Be gone you illiterate ferals!!!

Lol Facebook/Twitter followers really don't mean shit...especially cause their are tons of fake ones.

For instance I remember arguing with this guy Roy Nelson really doesn't move the needle and is super overhyped by the UFC. He kept pointing to his Twitter/Facebook followers but I pointed out guys like OSP who have like 5% the following he does on social media get better ratings on cards he main evented.

Fact is those casuals aren't gonna actually watch fights they just like his posts.

The fight was awesome.

Even when Conor loses he wins.

Mayweather was a genius for teaming up with Bieber. He said he wanted to walk out with Miley at one point.

Conor should team up with Bieber and sell 4.4 million PPVs like Mayweather.

Nothing has been shattered. the guy moved up 2 weight divisions and fought a guy that has fought numerous fights at ww and lw. A guy much larger than himself.

LOL @ "when he decides to win again."

He could have did it last week but instead he mentally broke and tapped out.
