McGregor is the most 1 dimensional champion in a while.

A guy who has great hands, decent kicks (but no leg kicks), and almost no offensive or defensive grappling.

The last time we've seen a champion this 1 dimensional was JDS. But the guy is a HW and HWs in general aren't very well rounded except a few.

Even other fighters known for their striking-heavy styles are more well-rounded in some ways: Joanna has strong defensive grappling, Rumble has wrestling and head kicks, Aldo has leg kicks and BJJ, Gus has insane TDD, etc.

Ronda actually has serviceable/good striking along with elite grappling, where as McGregor's grappling is not serviceable by any means.

Holm? But I personally wouldn't even consider WMMA, it's like MMA in the 90's basically.

In comparision to her division, maybe. But were comparing her to other champions. And by that definition, it's not "good" by any stretch of the imagination.

His ground game looked alright in the Holloway fight. But Diaz is a monster. I think his reliance on his left hand was where he was really shown up. Once Diaz had his distance, he knew it. Conor still landed some shots but he got outboxed by Diaz.

Nate whooped mcgregor on the feet and nuked him on the ground.

Guys are gonna follow nates blueprint and conor might not win another fight in the ufc. I feel like he might match up better with the competition in wsof.

No, he is not. Unlike some other champions, Conor performs under pressure.

Anderson Silva was perhaps the most one dimensional champion.

Only taken down in the UFC by D1 All American wrestler
Only submitted in the UFC by Gracie BB

No ground game...

His cardio is shit.

Wasn't Cigano basically a HW version of McGregor? Amazing boxing and footwork carried him to the top and won him the belt. No?

No.
He had very good TDD and was excellent at getting back to his feet after a TD.

The masterful striking of Daniel Cormier.
