With Conor it's more than just physical exhaustion. You can see the same trait in a lot of guys - Cro Cop and Vitor spring to mind. They are great front runners, but there is a point in a fight where a switch goes off and they just want out and it happens in a very sudden, volatile way.

Conor described it better than anyone else when he called himself a pussy after the Diaz loss in the locker room, sometimes even a degenerate tells the truth.

Its not badass...its STUPID period.

To most viewers it's seen as badass because you have to option to quit but you don't. Instead you fight till the bitter end. In a way it is a stupid choice since an mma match is just a competitive fight.
