IF he got KO'd badly, that could affect his chin and have a negative impact on his performance in future fights. Getting more scar tissue over eyes would also be bad and would affect him in the future. I could go on, but it's obvious that there is plenty to lose.

Dave Meltzer just said on the wrestling observer that Conor will campaign for a fight with Robbie Lawler at UFC 200 if he wins against RDA. That would be legit legendary shit, way bigger than fighting for the FW belt, even for McGregor.

So yeah, he has a ton to lose, both in $$ and in legacy. When you do above 1 million PPV ever extra buy you get nets you a lot of money, and the difference between Conor defending the FW belt and him challenging for the WW belt is in the multiple millions.
