Media McGregor Forever | Official Trailer | Netflix | Super cringe

All Conor fans are just pro wrasslin crossover fans from WWE. They enjoy more the bs press than the actual fight.

Seems like they timed this with the upcoming release of TUF, the focus of the doco looks to be Connor is never done and is coming back in a big way... but in reality he won't pass an USADA test which in turns makes this just super cringe posturing

I am truly amazed McGregor is not played by Will Smith, on Netflix.

Casuals:

I really really hope his behaviors lead to the outcome that is most typical. Then maybe another documentary.

I dont. The outcome that is most typical is a meteoric implosion of character, which would certainly involve a bunch of innocent peoples lives being negatively impacted

Already cancelled my Netflix years ago when they became super woke with their shitty ass shows
Cancelled my sub when they removed Transformers: Dark of the Moon while I was in the middle of watching it.

So. I'll use the argument that anti censorship people do. If you don't like it, don't watch. Funnily enough, it works quite well for me.

This is not for actual fans of MMA, it's for the people buying Proper 12. Let him have his fun, if they'll pay him, it's their dumbass problem. They're stupid enough to drink that whisky, they're stupid enough to watch this.

Don't let it get you down. lol. Every sport, every art form, everything ... they all have one of these. letting it get it you only benefits them.

Whenever someone has a movie made about themselves, it's to cement their own narrative and it's always at least 50% made up. You won't find any movie or documentary about someone where everyone agrees that's what happened. For example, in the case of "The Social Network" everyone involved in Facebook agrees it's maybe 40% true. Seeing the actor that plays Zuckerberg being confident, charismatic, and dominating all conversations was just too much to handle, when we know the sort of awkward reptilian he actually is. This doco is going to paint conor (no capital C) as a genius and a go-getter when in reality he didn't train harder than anyone else, he merely wore costumes and played a role. His biggest accomplishments were a lucky knockout (if it wasn't lucky, he would have more than 1 quick KO) and shit-talking Alvarez into fighting emotionally. And don't get me started on his "comeback fight" with Cowboy. I've never seen a fighter totally refuse to harm their opponent, almost as if..... But no.... that's impossible. The richest fighter in the UFC paying an opponent off because he knew he would be taking massive damage otherwise? No way. Not in MY sport.

Netflix doing docos on all the yesterday news crew. They need a new strategy

Nothing but respect for Conor. He made his millions and came from absolutely nothing. Was a plumber, and was on welfare and now is a millionaire.
Every time I remember he was on welfare I just remember Eddie absolutely humbling him in one of their joint interviews over it. Sure Eddie lost the fight, but you could really tell that one cut Conor deep when he said don’t talk to me about money. Welfare is for single mothers, not men. One of the few times Conor was put at an immediate loss for words.

Those other fighters didn't have the McGregor magic.

True. McGregor is trying to make a successful comeback. He's not done that. If he's not in competition people can stfu.

He's not crushing TRT between breakfast and brunch like some fighters or picogram excuses by usada.

Ufc is more exciting with McGregor. Sadly it's over and nowhere near as exciting. Here's hoping he comes back again and is competitive. Sadly, I doubt that.

McGregor bless.

Yeah. Conor lifting up two titles and 1st ever champion champion really hurt his feeling. Not ever the same after they fought. Poor Conor.

Two factions:
-Those with valid criticism of this being a wretch Conor knobslob UFC propaganda piece
-Weirdo right wing conspiracy theorists who have in recent years claimed Netflix is part of some hollywood p*d* ring.
I just don't like Netflix because they rarely finish a show and every documentary appeals to the lowest denominator and are usually riddled with false information. Some of the movies are good though

I probably would have cancelled my account if it weren't part of a bundle

I get respect. But "nothing but" it?

So, as long as a man is self made "nothing but" that quality of his matters??

I respect him for making his money sure. But there are other feelings based on his actions and conduct as well. If I understand your words properly, it sounds like none of that matters if he makes money.

Would you feel the same about Charles Manson if he became a billionaire? Nothing but respect for coming from nothing?

Very well said. If I'm interested in a subject matter and someone asks if I saw the Netflix "documentary" on it, I roll my eyes. I've seen a few and they are NOT where to go for accurate or insightful information.

The age of investigative journalism is dead, overall, tbh. Media is essentially PR now - opinion shaping.

I find it odd that Tyson is like a regular celeb these days with a big time podcast and gets wheeled out at all the fights - yet he was convicted of rape and did time for it.
He very obviously didn't rape that girl. But he has said that he did enough other shit to warrant his time in jail.
