This really demonstrates Conor's A-level competitiveness and passion for MMA.
I mean think about it, that guy shouldn't have the ability to make Conor feel insecure, Conor insanely mogs him in wealth/status/fighting ability etc, and the guy was even smaller than Conor.
But Conor is such a true martial artist that what really bothers him is anyone being better than him at his art.
I truly blame Dana for ruining Conor. I know I'm one of the only fans that is aware of this, but Conor was ruined NOT by the Floyd loss or making all that money from it...he was ruined when Dana shot him down when he proposed his dream of being part owner of the UFC.
You have to understand that Conor is (or at least was) a success addict, so he had to feel like every step he took went behind the one that proceeded it . There was nowhere to go in terms of big fights/paydays after the Floyd fight, I mean that was a truly once in a lifetime legendary situation, so he immediately set his sights afterwards on becoming an owner of the UFC. When Dana turned him down, he created Proper 12, and that became his focus more than fighting.
If you notice in the Khabib fight, that was by far the least focused Conor we had ever seen. I don't think anyone can dispute that, we never got to see a full power Conor (like the one that fought Eddie) vs Khabib. I'm not saying the outcome would've been much different, as Khabib is the naturally bigger fighter (could never make 145) and is a horrible matchup style wise, but the fact remains that the version of Conor Khabib fought was already greatly diminished and focused on Proper 12 as the only avenue to satisfy his success addiction.
