http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/...te-diaz-2-expected-for-ufc-200-in-july-031816
If true...
This is bizarre matchmaking...I get that it will sell huge to casual fans. But that said...wtf.
Diaz wins again....then the McGregor train completely folds and he's in Rich Franklin limbo land of mid weight. Diaz moves to a TS vs RDA? Assuming he wins vs khalib/ferguson?
McGregor wins....well forget about the fact he's suppose to defend his FW title (I'm guessing this is a LW fight) but the ufc once again shits on edgar and aldo and makes FW illegitimate in terms of credibility. Since a win forces a rubber match and another stall in the fw division.
Short term numbers bump and an exciting fight to ensure 200 beats 196 and 198 in ppv buys (I'll watch)...but horrendous long term matchmaking.
I don't get it. Wrecking all the diaz hype or putting whats left of the mcgoat hype to a permanent halt.
Am I missing something?
