McGregor can redefine himself and become a legend if he becomes "one of the guys".

I dont know if that necessarily means switching camps but he has to strike up some allegiances in this game and really push himself to get better. His relationship with Faber gives me hope that he can become one of the guys.

Look at Bones the GOAT himself training with Browne, Reem, Cowboy, Condit, PitBull etc

He has to swallow his pride and admit that this recent persona he pushed was based in delusion and accept that hes just another fighter in the UFC and he can be great.

Na...the damage is done.

You don't talk about another man's livelyhood, the paychecks he brings home to feed his wife and children, then expect to be seen as a decent guy.

Maybe he's just showing his age and immaturity.

I don't know how happy Mendes would be with him at TAM.

Conor can't reinvent himself a better chin

He doesn't have to do anything but win fights

Just because he lost once, doesn't mean he has to turn his entire world upside down

It will be hard. You work that hard to build up that kind of image and then to not even go out on your sword, tapping to the choke will be something that people won't forget. Take him out of his zone and the supposed king will bow. He needs to get that ground game fixed asap because he and everyone else knows that Frankie is going to put him on his ass. But that would mean Conor needs to most likely leave Ireland and according to him those kind of people are "traitors" to their country.

..True but it's the manner in how he was completely outclassed on the ground, as if he has absolutely no grappling prowess whatsoever.

He definitely should cross train more. Get some elite guys in to push him in camp. He got pushed around by diaz, so he needs to let himself get pushed around in practice too so he can learn to cope. You're not going to be in the drivers seat at all times in fights, so you need to be prepared for when you're not. Like Diaz did for the first round. Stayed patient, and landed decently even though he was eating some decent shots and his paper skin blew open. But his experience made him know he was fine, and that he could sustain this type of fight much longer than conor could.

He was already rocked and gassed at that point.

Contrast that with the 1st round where he wasn't rocked and that didn't happen when it went to the ground.

Nick and Nate should invite McG. Gracie JuJitsu mf what!
