Because if its no rules I'm betting on Mayweather. He has more money, which can buy much better weapons (and people to use them for him) than a poorer guy has available.

This is what I'm thinking as well.
I think that Conor might strike with him in the octagon just to prove a point, and it will be waaaaay easier than people might expect.
Conor might just spam different kicks and Floyd won't be able to defend shit.
It's a whole different sport...

What’s really funny is Floyd exerted his influence and has totally disrupted MMA, now it’s number one attraction doesn’t seem too eager to fight in MMA and interim title “fights” are now taking place. Funny I don’t see a jump in MMA viewership either. Floyd still renting space in MMA fans head, Boxing fans don’t even think about MMA fighters like the infinite insecurity shown around here.

Wow, someone is butthurt and hasn't gotten over the fact that Floyd fucking destroyed McGregor...
Conor is supposed to be some amazing striker who has incredible power, yet he couldn't even hurt Floyd at all. Basically every boxer Floyd has fought have done more damage to him. Get over it. Conor is a weak puncher compared to 99% of boxers.

Couture is a wrestler so ofc he will wrestle.
Sylvia was a fat faded version of himself, and even in prime he was not a striker anywhere near Conors level.
Conor will humiliate Floyd for the exact same reasons Floyd humiliated Conor. It's a totally different game.

Mercer wasn't any better. Plus, Conor only has 48% striking accuracy and he only avoids 57% of strikes against him.
Tim Sylvia has 42% striking accuracy, but he has thrown 408 more strikes than Conor, and he has 61% striking defense.
Tim Sylvia and Conor McGregor are evenly matched strikers.

Just because you believe Conor is better, it doesn't make it so. If the record doesn't match the "eye test" then we need to address it.
If Conor was really that great of a striker, his accuracy and defense would be better. He is only slightly above the UFC average (42% striking accuracy).

An opinion that is closer to the truth than whatever Kool-Aid induced fantasy you believe in.
The numbers I posted are straight from UFC.com. Nothing is made up.
Conor McGregor is a comparable striker to Tim Sylvia. They have very similar numbers. However, this is only descriptive statistics. We will need to conduct some inferential statistics to see if the difference in their numbers is statistically significant.
But, looking at how close their numbers are, my hypothesis will be that there is no statistically significant difference between their numbers.
If you have better evidence, show it. It is funny how many of you resort to (1) Insults, (2) Posting cartoons or (3) pretend being stupid, when somebody makes an argument using facts. LOL
I am giving you facts. So, instead of acting confused and illiterate, counter the facts. LOL

Maybe, though the kind of money Mayweather has means being able to buy and arm backup anywhere in the world.
I thought MMA at first, but given the number of MMA guys wanting to box Mayweather I'm not so sure. Not that I blame them - even if you lose badly in the ring, getting paid millions would make it all worthwhile.
