Mayweather is not ducking Manny Pacquiao...

I don't wanna say that Floyd ducked him but, he ducks him...

He won't ever fight the Filipino fighter but he's not ducking him. Pacquiao loses 2 fights in a row then beats a guy named Rios who I never heard about until the fight was announced and after beating this guy the WBC or whatever org puts Pacquiao back at the top?

yeah so Mayweather is not ducking Manny. .. we will never see this fight happen because Manny is with Top Rank..

floyd will use any excuse to avoid fighting manny pacquiao and his excuse always changes depending on the present circumstances: how manny beat his opponent, manny struggling against marquez, manny losing 2 fights (not a real loss against bradley but whatever), manny using steroids, the fight not being as popular anymore, squabbles with bob arum, etc. Floyd just doesn't want to fight manny - which i can actually respect and have no problem with - floyd just wants to make as much money as possible while taking the least amount of damage possible - he has alluded to this in several interviews. Floyd just isn't honest though about the reason why he doesn't want to fight manny.

lol - you ppl are nuts!
Manny's own advisor and lawyer recently came out and said that ARUM is the reason the fight is not happening.

THIS IS FROM MANNYS OWN CAMP!!!!!!!!!!
What is wrong with some of you?!

ALSO: ARUM HIMSELF HAS SAID THAT HE HAD FLOYDS NAME ON A CONTRACT SIGNED AND READY TO GO DURING THE FIRST NEGOTIATIONS.

HOW CAN FLOYD BE SCARED OF MANNY IF HE ALREADY SIGNED TO FIGHT HIM BEFORE?

Thanks for that, I thought the Easter bunny was stopping the fight.

Don't click his link.

Well Khan lost 2 fights in a row recently as well and is now going to fight Floyd, so let's not pretend like Floyd only fights opponents with perfect records or long winning streaks. I think Floyd has more power and pull than Pac, so if Floyd truly wanted the fight, he could make it happen.

However, it is pretty retarded to suggest that 2 of the best boxers of our era are afraid of one another.

People are missing the point! Pacquiao vs Mayweather is the fight fans want to see period. Regardless of who's to blame for why the fight didn't happen in the past is irrelevant. As it stands, Paquiao has publicly stated that he is willing to take a lower split and agree to any testing stipulations. As it stands the ball is in Mayweather's court, and he is using irrelevant excuses to avoid fighting Pacquiao. For that reason, its clear Mayweather is dodging Pacquiao, so if fans are upset with Mayweather, its more than justified because the onus is on him to make the fight happen and he's not.

Again the main point is that this is THE FIGHT the fans want to see. The fans are who drive the sport, so the idea that Pacquiao has to revenge his losses is nothing more than just posturing and is pointless. I cant for the life of me understand why there are people on this forum actually defending the argument of not having this fight happen....what kind of backwards thinking is this!!! ???

Yes, this is the fight I want to see - but by your logic, why should Mayweather - the top guy in the sport be FORCED o work with someone he doesn't want to work with.

Let Pacquaiao leave Arum, and we'll see a fight.

The pressure to make this fight, and to bend over backwards has to be on the B team, not the A team

Straight from Manny Pacquiao's mouth. Cant be any more clearer than this. Stephen A. Smith even had to admit that Mayweather is ducking Pacquiao.....That says a lot!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hY_s...TFZYKQ&index=3

Manny Pacquiao saying he wants the fight and specifying nothing more about actual negotiations means that Floyd alone is ducking the fight? That's enough information for you to feel 100% comfortable in saying that the only reason this fight isn't happening is because Floyd Mayweather doesn't want it to? Alright. By the way, your video isn't working. That Stephen A Smith bit is rocking my world, though.

Try the link now, I put up a new one.

There's much more that has happened since then, because that video is about a year old. But Manny's side has tried reaching out to Mayweather's camp to negotiate, and Mayweather isn't even willing to have a discussion. Not to mention the fact that Mayweather has gone to such great lengths to avoid the fight, included vacating his title! There's been nothing but excuses that have come from his side, whereas Pacquiao is ready to go. At the moment this whole thing is totally one sided and there's absolutely no denying it.

Again, its completely dumbfounding to see boxing fans defend a fight from not happening. Not that I'm saying you are....but this thread is filled with people like that. That's how ridiculous this whole situation has gotten to.

For an update to where things are at....here's another article to look into:

Now Pacquiao's lawyer is asking Arum to step down to make this fight happen. But at the end of the day it takes two to tango, and there is only so much that Pacquiao can do....Mayweather has to atleast meet him in the middle.

You hear stuff about Arum and Manny crawling through a field of glass just to try and talk to Mayweather, and then you hear stuff like this from Richard Schaefer.

"He's using Mayweather's name to drum up publicity of Pacquiao. When it is convenient for him, he uses Mayweather's name. Mayweather is pretty clear, as clear as it can be. He is not going to be dealing with Arum or Todd [duBoef] or anyone else over there. He doesn't need them. If you want Mayweather-Pacquiao, then okay. Make Pacquiao available and Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions will take care of everything."

... "We are not looking to cut Arum out, this is not about not paying Bob. He can have his Top Rank logo on the banner, no problem. He can have a few seats, no problem. It's nothing to do with disrespecting, but if he thinks he's the driving force here - what fucking arrogance does the guy have? ... Arum can call whoever he wants to call, but it's not going to happen with him involved. He's irrelevant in the equation."

So, who do you believe? I wouldn't call either a paragon of truth. There are considerable hurdles that have been put up by both sides. This has always been the case when trying to make big fights in boxing. However, negotiation for this big fight has occurred during a period where the two biggest promotions in boxing essentially refuse to work together. This problem is bigger than just the Manny and Floyd fight.
