Don't count Roxy out of this one. She's improved a TON over the last few years and we saw her stop one hype train with Valentina's sister.

This is a very dangerous fight to put a very young prospect in, whether you guys realize it or not.
This ^^^^^^^^^^

Modafferi is much tougher than she looks, and is a tough out for anyone. She has been TKOd a grand total of once in her 39 fight career.

Fuck I dont like this one, bad result regardless

I just want to lick the octagon mat once those two are done rolling around on it

Two people in the same division are ready and willing to fight. The fight is made. It's not rocket science.

Barber needs a top 10 win. In the eyes of many, Roxy is too old, too slow.

lol That's such a ridiculous statement

Bas has been involved in 33 fights with 28 finishes. This Roxanne broad has been to a decision in 26 of her 39 fights

Bas has 3 losses, that broad has 16

They don't fight at all alike and look nothing like each other

Yeah man I don't think he was talking about fight statistics lol, the point was Bas is an old school name, and Roxanne's been around since his time, back when things were still in the dark ages, plus old school meaning they've both trained in Japan and were training there at around the same time, with Roxanne still training there.
Calm down amigo, no ones trying to compare who had a better fight record,....that wasn't the point imo.

Takayama is Bas Rutten's twin

Roxy doesn't get enough respect from the new jack fans.
She is OG as fuck.

She needs to build her record up and Roxanne couldnt hurt a fly to save her life.
I predict violence and blood.

Ya know, its funny. People were saying similar things before Roxy fought Antonina Shevchenko...

Here are some of the highlights.

Damn they must want to kill the happy warrior.
Antonina getting fed with more cans nice
Roxanne is the worst fighter in the UFC. How is she still fighting?
<{nope}> Antonina will outclass her ez, 30-27 all cards. After this 125 rankings will look somewhat accurate as Roxy drops out of the top 10 and Shevchenko breaks into it.
Habsburg Modafferi about to get thrashed! War the nicer and hotter Shevchenko sister!
oh man, i think antonina is going to smush roxy.
Someone should update Roxys sherdog.com record already...add another loss...
Lol what the fuck, but the house on Shevchenko.
I got the other chick via not being Roxanne

Guess what bitches...

Maycee Barber will square off against Roxanne Modafferi in a women’s flyweight bout at UFC 246 on Jan. 18. Sherdog.com confirmed the booking following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. Though not officially announced, UFC 246 is expected to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A headliner for the card has not been confirmed.

Since signing with the UFC after a win on Dana White’s Contender Series, Barber has emerged as one of the promotion’s most promising prospects. The 21-year-old has earned three straight stoppage wins over Hannah Cifers, J.J. Aldrich and Gillian Roberts to begin her career, and the Roufusport product is 8-0 as a professional overall.

Modafferi, 37, is one of the most respected veterans in women’s MMA. “The Happy Warrior” is 2-4 during two stints with the Las Vegas-based promotion, which includes a loss to Nicco Montano for the inaugural female flyweight belt at “The Ultimate Fighter 26” finale. Modafferi has compiled a 23-16 career mark while competing in organizations such as the UFC, Strikeforce, Invicta and Cage Warriors.

Most likely Barber pieces her up on the feet to a late T/KO.

If Roxanne can get it to the ground she may very well derail Barber via sub.

Now that Ronda has left the house, UFC should just scrap the women's division. The cash cow (pun intended) is gone. This is intolerable.

There are already two threads about this fight, but I support this third thread, since more effort went into it.

Realistically, Barber will probably (wo)manhandle Modafferi, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's Barber's toughest fight yet, and a sneaky Roxy win is a distinct possibility.

WMMA is here to stay. Learn to appreciate it, or at least quit whining.

Why should I learn to appreciate it?

What is there to appreciate? Certainly not the MMA skills. If I want to watch beautiful women, Roxanne Modafferi is not what I want to see. And I will whine as much as I please.
