Were people being sarcastic and mean, or genuinely nice about it?

I asked SS about her sexual identity once, bc I always thought she was a dude, then I saw someone say she was a she. I wasn't being an ass about it, really, just curious because I like to know who I am talking to. SS never replied. Maybe other started asking and she felt she needed to set the record straight?

Anyway, I am saddened that SS won't be around for however long. One of my favorite people here. I hope people weren't being mean.
