I am not particularly compelled to believe his weight cut was bad enough to pull him from the fight before it had begun, no.

Do you have a source on this? Why hasnt the ufc been looking for a replacement since monday then ? This is really bad and why they always need a #3 and #5 guy fighting in the same division on the same card in case of injurys one can move up. Its an easy solution i dont understand why it isnt used

Ariel's twitter says he was hospitalized on Monday. I would imagine they didn't know what was going on.
I'm purely speculating here but maybe he was KO'd in training and his team was trying to hide it... That would make the UFC's job difficult. If he does have a concussion related injury, I wouldn't imagine many teams would be dying to disclose it.
That said, its very concerning that he is all fucked up for multiple days. People get knocked out all the time and are fine after. This could be bad.

This is the reality, I think, I saw no slurred speech in his post-workout scrum. If someone has a clip of his slurred speech please link it here.
He was nowhere near thin enough to make 145. I think he can make it in the future but not this week.

I think it has been very tough on him to make 145 for a few years now. I think he hurt himself trying to do a quick cut to fight Khabib.
Maybe Holloway is done at 145 now. Camps will make up all kinds of lies to cover for their fighter - just like Romero's camp did.
