I think he would've done well (and been fast enough) if he made the move 4-5 years ago. But being 36 and fighting more rounds than any other UFC fighter (cumulative damage) isn't a good recipe for 135, which is a young man's division.

I also think Max will be too much for Frankie based off how he looked tonight. That’s not an insult I just rate Max highly especially in 5 rounders. Ortega and his granite chin and knack for the finish however...I can’t wait. I’m just happy Edgar got the win tonight. I don’t see him even considering dropping down, he still wants a shot at the belt.

Artem Lobov managed to take him down, now I agree that Edgar wasn't going all in for the TD, but let's not sit here and pretend if he did someone like Max wouldn't make him work for it. Swanson seemed to just work on stopping it. Max has BJJ to capitalize on some of those TD attempts.
