whats the point of fighting for an "interim belt" when he is the official champion in another?
he robbed ortega a chance of getting the belt also.and when he loses they will still call him a champion.

I don't believe the UFC when they say it's for the real belt. They're fighting for the interim, that's why Tony got stripped.

I think it'll be for the real belt and they'll strip Conor after the fight, of course having McTwitter being the next in line to get it back. Tony needs a 20 fight winstreak to get to undisputed gold.
 
It's not an interim.
 
The point of fighting for an "interim belt" for Max is to step up to the challenge of fighting the bigger man. I don't think he cares what he is fighting for. He really doesn't give a fuck.

this isn't a interm belt btw.

when max loses they can set up him vs Ortega for summe time.

Tony being stripped is absolutely #1 bullshit..and a real slap in the face if true..when they got mcduck over there not fighting but keep his belt while healthy for 500 plus days and they strip ferg becuase hes injuried..pathetic..
 
they're not because Max is the one doing the UFC a favor here. How are they gonna strip him when he's doing that.

Tony is getting stripped because the purpose of the interim belt is to act as a placeholder for the real belt. Once the real belt is on the line there is no need for an interim.
 
At this point every UFC champ should be stripped of their titles which the UFC can then redistribute to their favorites / whoever has the most instagram followers in their weight division.

Or they just do a raffle or put them on ebay.

Point being: UFC titles have been turned into a meaningless concept.
