Dana White: ''I just had an interview the other day, where the kid was coming after me saying that I am throwing Nate Diaz to the wolves, if I have him fight Khamzat Chimaev. He wanted to fight Usman!! That's throwing you to the wolves!! Khamzat Chimaev has all these high expectations of what could possibly achieve right? Usman has achieved them. Nate wanted to fight Kamaru Usman, but you don't want to fight Khamzat Chimaev?''

Max Kellerman: ''Well I mean it's always a risk reward thing, right, like the reward you get not just monetarily, but in terms of credit for beating Usman, when Chimaev you are also taking a huge risk''

Then Dana continues to repeating the same sentence after his argument getting destroyed by Kellerman. :D

If MMA media had more people like Kellerman, then the things could have been a lot different in terms of arranging the fair fights, the guy knows how to handle Dana White's arguments.

Comparing Usman-Khamzat thing for Nate;

-That's low risk high reward thing with Usman,

-With Khamzat it's high risk and low reward,

Dana White pretends like he doesn't understand this simple thing.

Almost the same with people are ducking Islam, but at the same time wanting to fight Khabib, of course only after Khabib won the belt.

Nate was also ducking Khabib in the past,

But after Khabib won the belt, Nate was ok with fighting Khabib and was ok with getting smashed for 5 rounds by Khabib, but not before.

It's related to high risk low reward, of course ducking is ducking still, but when they become champion, everything becomes different, as Kellerman said it's low risk high reward once they get their belt.

Nates star power is correlated with his gangsta, not scared persona, the UFC will start the smear campaign on Nate's brand if he turns down the Khamzat fight.

Dana can try as hard as he wants to push for this fight and make Nate look scared but why Nate would take this absolute NIGHTMARE of a match up on the last fight of his contract is beyond me when he can get a BIGGER money fight and an easier fight in the Conor trilogy. Besides If Nates already eyeing boxing, and wants out, why the FUCK would he want to be back "In the mix" at the top of 170?

{<huh}

He knows he has nothing for the elite of the division and is tired of Dana's bullshit.

Also obligatory

Is anyone stupid enough to actually believe Dana's reasons for the fight? they only want Nate to turn it down so they can bench him until Conor recovers, Nate is doing exactly what Dana wants, if this wasn't his last contract fight or if he was talking about resigning and finished up his career in the UFC, they would had made the Luque or Tony fight weeks ago.

Beating khamzat would be huge reward for Nate. Basically puts him back in the mix.

Agreed, but he isn't winning and likely even touching Khamzat, which might be the problem

Nate isn't the type of guy to get scared, but could his ego handle q first or second round stoppage with him barely landing a glove?

It's a horrible stylistic matchplay for him and I think I may have more chance of winning this week's lottery despite having no ticket!

Nate is on his way out and khamzat is up and coming fighter with tons of hype. I can see why dana wants to promote khamzat over Nate right now.

Nate probably hold off till he gets Conor or Jorge masvidal for a money fight.

Max and Stephen A Smith destroying the UFC and MMA community one interview at a time.

- Everyone in MMA got butthurt over SAS analysis and truthful statements of Cowboy being over the hill punch bag to make Conor look good
- SAS interviewed and asked Conor tough questions and never backed down like no one else before him

That’s a different story. I agree that it’s not a great matchup. But that’s separate from the question of whether he has anything to gain. Again, usman is a terrible matchup too..

Nate's never beaten a quality WW in his career. He was a good LW who got steamrolled by Bendo in his lone title shot. Now they want him to fight a MW who's cutting a lot of weight to make WW? Nate has done nothing as a WW to deserve any of the contenders.

Don't be scared homie.
Dana to Nate

How many fucking times is Kellerman going to mention "wrestlers and Bee Jay Jay fighters having an advantage in MMA?" Does the fucker actually know what BJJ stands for?

The fucker STILL manages to mention Conor McGregor and proposes Aldo as an opponent.
