If I was the UFC I would actually zag here. Looking at the PPV schedule it doesn't look like Spain is a real option in 2024. But the Sphere needs a big main event on top of Grasso/Shevy 3. Ilia vs Ortega at the Sphere, Volk vs Evloev in Perth the month before.

If Max beats Gaethje, I'd try to book him vs the Conor vs Chandler winner(Chandler).

A rematch down the road I'm alright with but I have always hated the idea of immediate rematches when a winner was clearly seen by everyone.
