Mauro Ranallo or Jon Anik for a big fight?

Rogan/Goldberg to me was the best listening experience compared to any other combo. That might be nostalgia talking but Rogan’s education of the sport teamed up with Goldberg’s drama filled play by play will always be the best. I don’t think Rogan is the same during commentary these days. I think he basically passed the sword to DC and company and is basically there for the good time.

Used to despise Mauro
But he grew on me
Him and Michael Schiavello (sp?)

Their quick wit and one liners are commendable

I'll take Mauro over DC, Jo Hogan anyday

Mauro was good when he started but when he became established his persona got out of control, I find him unbearable to listen to.

i don't mind Anik at all

Who would you prefer calling a big fight? I rather Mauro. He brings more excitement and has a better voice.
I'm a sucker for Ranallo. Some may argue he's a bit much, but I dig him. I love his metaphors.

Muuro is a super underrated commentator, hes entertaining and keeps you in the event.

Anik all day, he does his job and you honestly forget he’s there

I know a lot of people love him because he’s a sweet guy who has been around a long time, but he is so obnoxious… you neeeeever forget he is there lol

Mauro is a bit too loud and manic at times for me. He has far too many canned one liners some of which are quite corny. He brought much needed energy and enthusiasm to some of the shorter lived promotions though.
Anik is solid and professional but he’s definitely paid to take a backseat to the bigger egos at the booth. They are both polished pros.

"It's Time!"

I turn the sound down no matter who is talking nonsense, reading commercials, shilling for a fighter, yelling "It's Tight!", interrupting each other.

So, Why not have some visual splendor for the occasional ringside shot thru the cage or between fight commentary?

Anik, he's a pro who doesn't make lame references to a fighters dick whenever there's a low blow.
