The long-running weekly “Inside MMA” on AXS TV is getting a bit of a facelift in the form of one of the most famous voices in combat sports history.

Veteran broadcaster Mauro Ranallo will take the hosting reins later this month alongside fighting legend Bas Ruttenand correspondent Ron Kruck, AXS TV today announced. Renallo will take over for Kenny Rice, who has hosted the show with Rutten since its inception.

Ranallo is a good addition to the show

i'll watch the show now and give it a chance...kenny rice was horrible, made me hate the show

I am so glad Rice is leaving. The worst to me was when it seemed Rice started to feel, just by hanging with Bas, that he himself was a fighter. His passive aggressive attack on fighters when they were not in the studio with him, and even sometimes throwing a punch or kick to illustrate a point.

Mauro must be down to about 2 hours a week of free time.

Use to watch that show a fair amount, but haven't seen an episode in years.

is he already done with WWE or do they allow this?

I would've liked to see Kruck get the shot as he has grown on me over the years

As much as I didn't like Mauro on Pride I've warmed to him a bit.

As for Kenny, he did exactly what I said he would do years ago. The second he got something from a sport he finds legitimate he ran. You could tell he doesn't care much for MMA, he doesn't take the time to learn the fighters name or the sport's history and every single time he opens his mouth he has to compare MMA to a different sport, it got tiresome long ago.

I know Kruck has a young kid, so that might be why he didn't get the gig. He's a guy who, despite never fighting, seems to know a hell of a lot about the sport, likes to learn new things about it, is friendly with the fighters and overall tends to promote the sport in the best light possible.

I like Kruck. Kruck is a good reporter. But he just comes off so awkward on camera it's painful to watch.

Now they just need to move back to its old time. By the time I'm done watching fights I do t have it in me to watch imma

Nice. The last time I enjoyed my life was lie 4 or 5 years ago when I had the channel that showed Inside MMA and Bellator was still doing weekly Thursday shows, and I was making pretty decent money. I loved ending my week with Inside MMA. Haven't watched since then. I miss Bas and KO highlights of the week.

This is good news. I wasn't the biggest Mauro fan in PRIDE, maybe because I didn't like him replacing Quadros but whatever. He's grown on me especially with his chemistry with Bas and his passion and desire to actually like MMA and learn about it. I'd much rather have him than Goldberg all day.
