Interesting nobody mentioned the bit where he states it's harder to get motivated now with over 30 fights, I love shogun to bits and hope he pulls this out, I just don't think the hunger he once had is still there, he's been to the top though and nobody can take that away from him.

I'm worried that this guy hasn't made improvements to his diet and strength/conditioning (mostly the latter) training. That's what's really been holding him back the last few years. I remember someone posting one of his former coaches saying he'll spar all day, but is "lazy" when it comes to lifting and conditioning stuff.

Still hope he smashes Gus though,

i can't help but think that shogun will come prepare for this fight. he lost two title shots in essence, because of his lack luster performance in beating vera.

it's almost like shogun fights to the level of his competition - and is anticipating the gus will be rewarded a title shot if gus wins, i would expect shogun to treat this as a title fight type of situation.

i like gus - but he lost to davis and while this is not a criticism, gus has yet to fight the calibre of opponent like shogun.
