Matt Mitrione hopes to 'cause a change' in the way the UFC does business

I love how these guys say they're not bothered by not fighting in the UFC yet they can't keep the UFC out of their mouth, sorry guys but you went to an irrelevant organization in terms of competition.

Havent been following this stuff, is this about the eyepoke?

Matt Mitrione thinks rather highly of himself.

Yep, some journeyman mid-carder is gonna change the game, by signing with some other bum company. Today Matt Mitrione, tomorrow Jon Jones. The dominoes are falling.

Meathead indeed.

I love how morons like you act like Mitrione is fighting bums in back alleys. I love the total lack of respect. Mitrione is asked questions and he answers them. Is that a fucking crime?

They are asked and they answer.

He hasn't had a fight yet but I wouldn't be surprised if his debut is fighting a bum in a back alley.

Mitrione vs Kimbo 2 will move needles, and change the game as we know it.

I'm hoping that Mitrione causes a change within himself, in that he will talk less. Zuffa could do a lot better in its treatment of its employees. Mitrione could do a lot better to be more humble, and less attention-seeking.

I believe he can change things and improve them. After all he improved the way you can give your neck in a double leg attempt.

Strikeforce was pretty irrelevant for a while, then they signed Dan Herderson, Fedor, Josh Barnett, Overeem, Fabricio Werdum and add the talent they developed like Rousey and Cormier and they weren't so irrelevant anymore. The issue was that cbs gave up on the whole thing and Viacom has made a commitment to mma for the last 15 years.

Mittrione felt the Rothwell choke was a fluke, and felt it was confirmed when afterwards Rothwell didn't accept his challenge for a immediate rematch.

Next fight and Rothwell used the same choke on Josh Barnett.

Google Jean-Marc Bosman and see how he changed football transfers. He was a journeyman footballer in Belgium.

It doesn't always take a big name, just someone saying the right thing.

He doesn't have the record, the skills, or the popularity to be leading any kind of charge.. But the UFC doesn't mind him trying; makes it all look futile coming from him.

I would just like a little healthy competition. Good for everybody. Reviving the Pride spirit is over. They missed that boat by at least 5-6 years. That's fine. They shouldn't try. The sport has evolved, and the names and ranking associated with the names matters. An org can go for more Pride like production, but really you have to start with a decent roster. Bellator has some fighters I'm interested in, but at this point I would rather see those guys in the UFC. Maybe that will change.

Strikeforce? You serious? You mean that company that the UFC bought for spare change? Yeah, not irrelevant at all. They were right there....

What's next? EliteXC?

He actually sounds really coherent and well spoken here..relatively

what else can they talk about especially if the UFC is the only organization they were in?
