Matt Hume is an underrated coach and classy guy

Hume told DJ before the Cruz fight to quit his job because one day he was going to be a world champion. Every fight since that hes shown improvement and I imagine atleast a small part of that has to do with Hume, very underrated coach.

And did anyone notice after the KO Hume called DJ over and told him to calm his celebration down in respect to Benavidez? Classy move.

I agree, Hume is an amazing coach and is incredibly detailed and calculating in his advice for fighters, I can't think of many other coaches id rather have in my corner than him.

its not his fault, but im kinda buttmad over his "win" over paulson via cut

paulson was beating him handily, he got a small cut in the third but the ref was someone who trained with erik and didnt like him and called the fight. youd think matt wouldnt go with it, but he took the win. apparently they had a beer together over it later but most people see the record and dont know the story

Underrated by many actually. How often do you hear Hume mentioned with the other world class trainers? not very often.

What the fuck are you even saying? That Hume should have protested the stoppage on the grounds that it was probably a personal thing and not a bad enough cut? What an unreasonable expectation to have.

he couldve asked the ref to let it continue, the cut was nowhere near close enough to stop a fight. but he was happy with the win
