News Matt Brown vs Miguel Baeza Set for May 16

It's always tough when you have a proven veteran fight someone who is unproven. You never really know. Matt Brown should be able to win this, but this kid does have some solid kicks. Can Brown get to him before getting caught?

I was at the Brown vs Silva fight live in Cincinnati a couple years back and I'll always be a fan because of that performace, and also never forget how loud an audiance can get when they are unified into one ass beating.

Side story: My Army buddy was at the UFC fight in Chicago where Benson Henderson defended his title against Josh Tompson and ran into Matt Brown. My buddy had bought me a UFC encyclopedia for my upcoming birthday (God knows why) and tried to get an obviously drunk Matt Brown to sign my future book. He refused at first, until my friend told him it was for a former soldier who had deployed to Iraq. He apparently lit up and immediately agreed to it, and now I have the Immortal's signature dedicated to me. Might be a cool little story for fellow vets.

Love a bit of Matt Brown, and first impressions are he should steamroll this guy. But it seems Baeza kicks like a mule, and Brown has proven susceptible to kicks in the past, in his prime. Wouldn't be entirely shocked if this Baeza guy liver-kick KO's him. Brown via bloody TKO, 2nd round, is my pick.
