Matt Brown hopes to take his children to Cuba one day.

This thread will lead to an introspective and rational conversation on different cultures and their economic systems. I believe that we as posters will shine a light on the etiquette needed to discuss such sensitive, globally pressing matters on the internet.

Why not just take them around America? America is barely first world in some places.

yes, as soon as we get rid of the Communists in Cuba

Matt Brown is more intelligent than I would have imagined.

Hopefully he can take Colby with him and leave him there.

All of America no matter where you go is first world. Has nothing to do with how you live or how much money you have or make.

1 - The bloc of democratic-industrial countries within the American influence sphere, the "First World".
2 - The Eastern bloc of the communist-socialist states, the "Second World".
3 - The remaining three-quarters of the world's population, states not aligned with either bloc were regarded as the "Third World."

cuba be fine man. fidel be dead. the soviets do not exist to put missiles there and the russians have no reason too.

the US and Cuba had a close relationship from the US-Spanish war until Fidel.

if you can make it there on a makeshift boat the countries should probably have diplomatic relations

Damn, that guy from that video is more intelligent than you thought? Then I don't think I can even verbally express how stupid you probably imagined he was, lol.

Hah! I almost edited it after I got a little deeper into the interview. He's still smarter than I thought, based on the bits I've seen of him on The Ultimate Fighter.

Canadian here who visits Cuba once or twice a year. The Cuban people are amazing, generous, humble, and extremely caring. I have eaten in Cuban households and spent days in both rural and urban centres, and would move there if I could.
And they start every school day with 15 to 30 minutes of international current events and are very, very up to date on international affairs. Alot of Canadians and Americans pale in fucking comparison.
