I’m not sure that khabib has done enough to fight for the belt.

Fighting ability isn’t the issue. It’s the rest of the package that I question whether he possesses or not.

Dan Hooker vs Mairbek Taisumov in Perth.

Taisumov wants a fight, and considering UFC won't give him a Top 15 guy anyway he can at least fight someone who made a little buzz. And Hooker wants on that card anyway.

You're right in a sense--he has no one else to blame but himself for the position he finds himself (25-0, still never fought for title). But to say he hasn't done enough? As if there is someone more worthy right now? Eddie? Kevin Lee? Gaethje? Barboza? Which of those guys deserves a shot over him?

Khabib has done plenty. He's absolutely raped everybody who was put in front of them including dos anjos, Johnson and Barbosa. Unless Connors coming back to UniFi in the next 6 months khabib Ferguson is the fight to make.

Bro in today's UFC all you have to do to fight for a belt is scream about your opponents in an irish accent. So I guess you're right.

I don’t mean in the fighting sense. He’s done well.

If I were Dayna, I’d be reluctant to give this guy the chance to duck up another ppv.

He’s unreliable. He fights once a year. He doesn’t make weight.

The ufc is struggling with legitimacy right now because of Connor and his unwillingness or inability to fight or defend. The last thing they need is another fighter that will put them in the same position.

It absolutely is, but there is the risk that the fight will be made, the fight will be announced and promoted, and khabib will pull out, fail to make weight, or otherwise not make it to the cage.

What then?

Lol. Yes. I’m the idiot.

Khabib ducked himself, tony, and the fans out of the fight we all wanted to see, and he has a history of weight issues and not showing up to fight, but when I point these things out, I’m the idiot.

I understand.

Well, admitting it is the first step. Good for you. He's done enough. Everyone including the UFC knows it. Which is why his next fight will be for the belt.

Pointing out the obvious does not make you bright. But yes, it is frustrating when fighter issues rob the fans of fights. I guess your menstrual cycle is just longer than most peoples.

Thanks pal. I aim to please.

Speaking of idiocy, you really think building 155 division around khabib is a good idea?

I can get on board with all this. Not sure Holm is going to fight again. She is getting a little long in the tooth.

It might be in a tough position. But it's still the fight that needs to happen. You speak of legitimacy. It really takes away from legitimacy when the champion is clearly not the best fighter. Take bisping for example. He won the title fair and square but with his special title defences he was a joke champion that no one believed would defend his title against a top 5 fighter.
And Khabib would be no worse that Cain was. And they keep trying to give him a shot. Because they know no heavyweight champion is properly proven they are the best until they show they can beat Cain.

Don’t kid yourself—they don’t see Cain as a viable test by which to measure all other hws.

They want Cain to be champ because they think Arizona is part of Mexico and they desperately want a Mexican champ.

Also, the Cain issue is distinguishable in the sense that Cain gets hurt. It’s an issue beyond his control.

Khabib and his weight problems and unreliability is within his control—he is author of his own misfortune.

Tough to feel bad for self authored chaos
