Gane vs Ngannou. No brainer here, title unification coming up.
Lewis vs Miocic. Miocic has a point, Cormier got an immediate rematch after losing so why does the most dominant HW champ in history not get the same? Well because Uncle Dana said so. Miocic/Jones is the real fight to make here but I am not convinced Jones fights ever again and I think Miocic will like his odds to get back in the win column against Lewis and eventually take the fight.
Aldo vs Font. We have a logjam at BW currently. Yan/Sterling will go at it on Halloween then Dillawshaw rightfully will be fighting the winner of that sometime in early 2022 hopefully. Font is going to need another big W to get over the hump and get the next title shot, maybe even two wins depending on the timeline for Dillashaw vs Yan/Sterling. I see others pining for Aldo/Sandhagen but I think Font needs a big name more and the UFC is going to oblige, especially with both fighters on winning streaks currently.
Munhoz vs Simon. Think its apparent now that Munhoz is officially on gatekeeper status so its time to start feeding him guys who want to break into the upper level of the division. Simon is on the fringe of the top 15 on a good winning streak, lets see what he's got.
Luque vs Edwards. Usman/Covington are not fighting until November so that 10+ unbeaten streak for Edwards is unfortunately not going to be enough and he's going to need one more win at least. This is a true #1 contender fight, no other two guys in the division should be in the running. Put these guys on the November card as well.
Chiesa vs Muhammad. I don't think Chiesa loses much traction in the division with the loss, this would be a big fight for both guys and push them both to 1-2 fights away from a title fight. I also would love to say Masvidals name but pretty confident the UFC will give him someone more favorable to give him the best chance at a W to keep his name value high.
Torres vs Esparza. Both on multiple fight winning streaks.
Hill vs Pinheiro. Hill is 8-10 in the UFC so not sure why she's still employed but lets feed her to one last prospect before she rides off into the sunset.
Song vs O'Malley. Both on the fringes of the top 15 and a good test to see which of the two is more ready for a title run. The UFC would love to have a big name in the asian market again and Song could be that guy if he can beat O'Malley who like it or not is a very well known name among the casuals already.
Kenney vs Valiev. Two close decision loses isn't going to hurt Kenney too bad but its time he proves himself by taking out a potential prospect in Valiev.
